i love katie hall more than anything, but i dislike the character cosette, so i get many conflicting feelings whenever i watch the 25th anniversary concert.
it ticks me off that katie hall was cut from the movie.
i love how katie hall’s emotional face comes off as an angry kitten. how can a face so indignant look so adorable?
katie hall’s voice is beautiful, but it lacks power.
in my opinion, katie hall and alfie boe are the most adorable people to have played valjean and cosette together.
katie hall’s “did he see what i see” in the 25th anniversary concert always sets off the grammarian in me every time i hear it.
i am seriously desperate for a genderswapped les mis in which katie hall plays grantaire and either lucie jones or nancy sullivan plays enjolras.
when sam and gareth were cast together, aj was cosette. when katie and gareth were cast together, rosalind was éponine. when sam and katie were cast together, nick was marius. i wish, at some point, these three could’ve been in the same cast. it would’ve been a remarkable trio.
cosette is one of my favorite characters in the book and musical, and i enjoyed katie hall’s portrayal of her. i just wish i didn’t keep running into the opinion that katie is the only actress who has played the role well or that her portrayal is the only reason to like cosette.
craig mather as marius, nancy sullivan as éponine, katie hall as cosette, liam tamne as enjolras, and ramin karimloo as jean valjean would be a flawless cast.
i feel bad because i’m the only person who isn’t very fond of katie hall’s cosette. she’s adorable and sings perfectly and acts and looks wonderful, but to me she doesn’t capture the essence of cosette. she makes her way too bubbly and spontaneous which is very different from how i think cosette should be.
i’d love for craig mather and katie hall to sing “a heart full of love” together. it would be the cutest performance the world has ever seen.
i usually can’t stand cosette in the musical, but i don’t mind katie hall’s performance in the 25th anniversary concert. i think it may be just because i find her quite adorable.
the way katie hall put her hand to her chest in “in my life” when she sang “just a whisper away, waiting for me” in the 25ac made me laugh. she’s great, but to me the gesture seemed like something grantaire would do during a drunken speech.
katie hall is my favorite cosette.
