words cannot begin to describe how much i want to hear nancy sullivan as madeleine in “look down”.
i am seriously desperate for a genderswapped les mis in which katie hall plays grantaire and either lucie jones or nancy sullivan plays enjolras.
i think nancy sullivan’s “little fall of rain” is one of the best i’ve seen. the way she acts shows that éponine is terrified she might die without experiencing marius’ love. i know usually éponine tries to stay strong, but it’s a different way to look at it.
craig mather as marius, nancy sullivan as éponine, katie hall as cosette, liam tamne as enjolras, and ramin karimloo as jean valjean would be a flawless cast.
nancy sullivan and sophia ragavelas could not portray éponine more differently if they tried — yet they are both my favourites. i could never pick who i prefer.
i think nancy sullivan and jon robyns’ éponine and marius were horrible! they were so fidgety and touchy; it was so annoying and uncomfortable to watch.
sam barks < nancy sullivan. that is all.
i didn’t feel like there was anything special about the 08/09 cast except for david thaxton, to be honest. david shannon, nancy sullivan, and jon robyns always gave enjoyable and understandable performances when i went to the queen’s, and they were good — but not the greatest, and not the best.
i think nancy sullivan should have been chosen to portray éponine in the film.
i don’t think samantha barks was a good éponine. sure, she had a hell of a voice, but her acting was very weak and her éponine didn’t mean anything to me, especially in the plumet attack, where she just flits around — unlike nancy sullivan, who was terrifying there and brilliant altogether. it hurts when fans think of her as the ultimate éponine just because she played the role at the o2.
